How to Create a Survey

To learn how to create a survey of Q&A follow the steps below and/or watch the video below.

1. Go to Engagement Tools in the left-hand nav

2. Click the “Create new” button

3. In the pop-up, choose “Survey” from the drop down, give the survey a name, and short description (not required) and click “Save”

4. In the configuration window, make sure the information is correct and scroll to the bottom to set anonymity settings

5. To create survey questions, go to the Survey tab in the configuration window

6. Click “Add question” to add your first question

7. There are four question types (details of these can be found on the pages linked to the question types below)

   • Short answer

   • Multiple Choice

   • Checkboxes (more than one choice)

   • Linear scale

8. Choose whether an answer to this question is required to be able to submit the survey

9. Mark if this question appearing in the survey is conditional on the answer to another question (more on conditionals here)

10. Once you enter the information for your first question, click add question again and repeat steps above

11. When survey is complete, click “Save”
