Managing linear scale questions in surveys

A linear scale question allows participants to rank an item on a scale from 1 to whatever parameter you choose (up to 10). To create a linear scale question in a survey, follow the following steps and/or watch the video below.

1. In your survey, choose “Add question”

2. Choose “Linear scale”

3. Enter the question you want participant to rate with a scale

4. “1” is always the lowest value, but you can choose highest value between 10 and 2. Choose a value (10 is default)

5. If you’d like to label the low and high end of the scale, do so on the right where it says “Label (Optional)”

6. Choose whether or not it’s required
